After helping her grandson get dressed to go outside one day, my daughter Marilyn gave him a big kiss on his cheek. Then she noticed that he brushed his gloved hand against the damp spot.

"Are you wiping off my kiss?" she joked.

Thinking mighty fast for a 3-year-old, he replied, "No, Grandma. I'm rubbing it in."

Our grandson Judson called recently to announce that he had his own phone in his room now. When we finished talking, his little sister Sadie, who's 5, got on the line and started complaining that her mother said she couldn't have a telephone in her bedroom because, "She'd probably call China or something."

"But, Grandma," she pleaded, "I don't even know China's phone number!"
