Wear Your Seat Belt!

The automobile auction I attended was selling cars to benefit charity. Vehicles were classified as "running" or "no start". One of the no-starters was on the block. It had a shattered windshield, two missing tires, a sagging front bumper, a cockeyed grille, the hood sprung up at an angle and dings and dents everywhere.

Before he started the bidding, the auctioneer announced the car's year, make and model, then read these comments from the owner: "Please note, the radio does not work."

Seeing is Believing

A young boy who had just returned home from spending a week at a dude ranch was describing the experience to his mother. "I even saw the man who makes horses," exclaimed the boy.

"Are you sure?" his mom asked.

"Yeah," the boy replied, "he was almost finished when I saw him nailing on the feet."

While passing a deli that sells food from many countries, my granddaughter, Kristin, asked me about the sign for Polish sausage she saw.

"Grandma, why do they polish sausages? They're not dirty."
