Pray. Pray that the sermons and services may cause us all to draw closer to God. Pray for those who need to put on Christ. Pray for those Christians who need to set things right with God.
Plan. Make your schedule adjustments now that will allow you to attend all of the services of the meeting.
Invite. Make a list of those you plan to invite. Send a card or make a phone call. Better yet, talk to someone in person and offer to pick them up and bring them to services.
Attend. Lead by example. Edify others while you are being encouraged.
Bring your Bible. Turn and read your own Bible when passages are mentioned. Don’t be afraid to mark your Bible.
Participate. Sing, pray, pay attention. Remember that we are here to worship God, not to be spectators.
Be friendly. Seek out others and extend your welcome to them.
Be knowledgeable. Be ready to tell others about the importance of the gospel. Also be ready to answer questions about the various programs, services and classes at your church.
Be courteous. Leave the best parking for visitors. Sit toward the center of the pews to allow ease of seating so others will not have to climb over you.
Be encouraging. Take the time to let the song leader, preacher and others know how much you appreciate their efforts. A kind word goes a long way.
May we join with David who said, “I was glad when they said to me "Let us go into the house of the LORD.” ~ Psalm 122:1
See you at the meeting!
